history lesson, pt. 2

i finally came clean with my overseers. i had a particularly strange dream a couple of weeks ago when it was really foggy. angela said she felt really alive. i felt very confused. i managed to drive home alright, though. i'm getting better at driving while asleep, i think.

thank goodness this isn't a regular thing. it's starting to take its toll.




as he climbed out onto the roof, Odysseus never looked back. he didn't care if the rest of the boys saw him at all. he crawled out to the very edge and stood like Christ. it was all very important, but the boys were too busy to notice him. that was okay. Odysseus considered standing up there a little longer, but that wasn't right. he reached into his right jacket-pocket and pulled out the half-eaten apple. he took a big bite, and it tasted wonderful. he threw it below him into the pool. Odysseus stared at the apple core and thought some important, wonderful thoughts that he kept to himself. he whispered goodbye to the world and cannonballed into the pool. the splash was enormous.
